An Apple to Say Thanks!

It's graduation time!  

I made these mini papier mâché apples as a gift of thanks for your fav teachers.  Along with the usual confetti, inside the apples are chocolate gold coins because we all know a teachers time and knowledge is worth more than gold!

I finally finished this piece!  Yay!

It is a part of a series of large-scale paintings on canvas, all of which incorporate 3D papier mâché elements with oil and acrylics.  

It measures roughly 2.5' x 5'.
